Monday 8 June, 5 miles, 5 locks.
Had a bit of a tidy up and reorganisation inside the Cratch (sharp end of boat) this morning. Walked the 20 minutes for an icecream. Sat in the sun in Snugburys courtyard and watched the Swallows and Red Robins busy in their work. Made us so hungry we had another ice cream, called it lunch, before returning to the boat and setting off. Tied up at Wrenbury as the sky darkened. Inside with a rum in hand before the rain arrived.
It pays to fly the flag when you get people from Tauranga popping up from their boat. Watched a guy in the park near the apartment we are in flying a drone. A magnificent piece of gear. His mobile was connected to the drone so he could see from the control what he was doing. The drone told him it was on low power and would land. It then switched to a vertical camera, descended and landed and shut down. It then turned on its gps tracker so he could find it. (We could see it) a loverly piece of kit. Would I like one. Would be very nice. Good to see the weather is looking better. It is 33c in Singapore but doesn't seem to hot.
